The National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain is a precious jewel in this nation's cultural treasury, taking the best of the country's young talent and forging a formidably professional ensemble, breathtaking in its accomplishments. In this Prom they will make the sea roar and swell in Debussy's La Mer, conjure dreams of childhood in Ligeti's Lontano and revel in Ravel's orchestration for his Piano Concerto for the Left Hand, with Tamara Stefanovich as soloist.
