We've got 20 pairs of free tickets for our Gold members to come to a screening of arthouse director Yorgos Lanthimos' latest chiller, The Killing of a Sacred Deer, at BFI Southbank on 19 November.
Lanthimos has cultivated a reputation over the last few years as the maker of provocative, incredibly surreal films, and if the enigmatic title is anything to go by, this new feature will be no exception.
This disturbing and uncanny thriller follows heart surgeon Steven Murphy (Colin Farrell – excellent in Lanthimos’ last project, The Lobster), as he strikes up an unconventional relationship with an adolescent boy, Martin (Barry Keoghan).
Their bizarre friendship puts a strain on his marriage to Anna (Nicole Kidman) and soon enough things really start to spiral out of control with devastating consequences for both Martin and Steven's families.
Featuring hypnotic, idiosyncratic performances from the two leads, this is not one to miss, and not one for the faint hearted.
