Greeted by a smile and a chilled glass of Lallier Grande Réserve Champagne, members are guided across a stylish hotel lounge down into a small 30-seat screening room where a warm box of popcorn (in sweet or salty) awaits. Nestled into deep, squishy chairs that visitors sink into – and aided by a curious little tray that folds out of the armrest and holds your champagne – guests get comfortable and ready for the start of the classic film being screened that evening.
Following the film, the fizz and the box of popcorn, guests are led upstairs to their table (don't worry, you don't have to share) and are greeted with a three-course menu from Indigo with delicious, seasonal dishes. The wine and water aren't included in the offering, but that's made very obvious by the price tags for the recommended wines on the left-hand-side of the menu, so you won't get caught out.
A genuinely charming evening out in London, away from the stress of overcrowded cinemas and dinner reservations that overrun, Film & Fizz at One Aldwych marks a joyous few hours to spend with a friend in the heart of the capital.
