New fragrance room in Harvey Nichols
Want to get a sniff of what’s new, niche, or grand in the world of perfume? Then head to Harvey Nichols’s new immersive 'Fragrance Room'
The luxury department store is boasting a mega 1,600 square feet dedicated to fragrance. How many scent notes can fill that room? Well, we're not entirely sure of the exact math, but what we do know is there will be well over 100 brands stocked and thousands of bottles for your perusal.
Some old-school stalwarts like Creed, Chloe and Serge Lutens will sit alongside exclusives and niche brands such as Maison Crivelli, Ormaine Paris, Parfums de Marly and Initio.
There’s also a sensory discovery wall, fragrance workshops, interactive events and a chance to meet the brand founders and perfumers, and of course, sit and chat all things fragrance with the on-hand consultants.
The first phase of the space is open now, and will be fully complete by the end of March 2020.
Jo Osborne, Beauty Director at the store, says:
“Fragrance is a significant part of our business, and while we have outgrown the current area, we are fortunate enough to move to a space double the size. The new department allows us to offer some of our bestselling brands an opportunity to create their own boutique space, and the rest of the department to curate unique and fine fragrances from across the world, which we know our customers will love.”
