Cooking from Honey & Co will put you in a happy homey place. A joyous book created with love, featuring bright Middle Eastern flavours prepared by Sarit Packer and Itamar Srulovich, who came to London from Israel fourteen years ago.
This is a book bursting with rich ingredients: savour the thought of tahini, labneh, pickled lemons, saffron, harrisa, baharat and urfa chilli. Many of the recipes are vegetarian, resulting in comforting dishes like potato and feta fritters, and vanilla shortbread.
Sections include dishes for day-to-day life, for parties and for kicking back and relaxing. Make a bee-line for sections on amba relish, chermoula pasta and courgette pickle. And for the festive season, try their pistachio, cardamom and rose marzipan.
The photography by Patricia Niven (whom they also work with for their weekly FT Magazine column), is superb and enough to make anyone's mouth water.
