Italian fashion photographer Paolo Roversi has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, from Vogue and Marie Claire to Christian Dior and Valentino. He's also made a name for himself with his adventurous Polaroids and diverse techniques from gelatin silver to carbon and dye transfer prints. Under the guidance of famously hard to please British photographer Lawrence Sackmann and legendary Art Director of Elle magazine Peter Knapp, Paolo Roversi has become one of the most famous photographers working today.
Paolo Roversi & Polaroid photography
In this new exhibition at Hamiltons Gallery, Roversi delves into the latest developments in Polaroid photography by layering gold and silver leaves on his textured compositions. These fragile images are inspired by the reflections and dancing light of Byzantine mosaics, and feel trapped somewhere between reality and illusion.
Strike a pose because we can't wait to step into Roversi's magical world at Hamiltons Gallery this summer.
