Jerwood/FVU Awards 2015, Lucy Clout and Marianna Simnett, premiere new moving-image works in a bold contemporary art exhibition at Jerwood Visual Arts. Their projects, based on the brief ‘What Will They See of Me?’, were the consequence of both artists winning the Jerwood/Film and Video Umbrella Awards £20,000 commission - a fantastic platform for any young artist!

Simnett and Cloud’s works explore the moments of ambiguity in human identity: how we craft images of ourselves to present to others, and how can we identify our ‘authentic’ self?
Lucy Clout’s piece, From Our Own Correspondent, includes interviews with news journalists, bloggers and feature writers on the subject of what makes a journalistic story compelling. In contrast, Marianna Simnett in Blood challenges what womanhood means, through the sensory perception and bodily gesture of a young female protagonist.
Connoisseurs of experimental film exhibitions London should not miss the fruits of this prestigious award.
