Paul Stolper Gallery London gets into the Valentine’s Day spirit with a series of prints and sculptural editions from artist Damien Hirst. Known for his diamond skull and shark in formaldehyde, for Damien Hirst, ‘Love is a beautiful thing and I see it as a small antidote to all the horror in the world.’
Damien Hirst biography
Hirst has become synonymous with Charles Saatchi’s YBA artists, along with Tracey Emin, Gary Hume and Sarah Lucas after Saatchi commissioned the famous tiger shark preserved in formaldehyde. Damien Hirst artwork has also caused controversy in recent years with the 2008 Beautiful Inside My Head Forever auction at Sotheby’s, London, which sold an entire Hirst show directly to the public.
