The Store X has been the site for some pretty wacky immersive experiences in past years with experimental installations transporting visitors to moonscapes and other otherworldly environments through a brave blend of art and technology. This latest project seems to be their most ambitious yet, and includes the UK premier of The Great Animal Orchestra, a pitch black room which is inundated with a mesmerising score of animal sounds created by soundscape ecologist Bernie Krause and digital images evoking the natural habitats of the recorded wildlife. Another installation, Our Time involves a surreal walk below kinetic sculptures which also produce a play of light and sound. Finally, Vanishing Point invites visitors to witness a laser installation inspired by Renaissance perspective drawings by Leon Battista Alberti, Leonardo Da Vinci, and Albrecht Dürer.
