Great niece of the abstract artist Auguste Herbin, and in many ways his successor, Claisse has been proclaimed ‘the leading female abstract painter of her generation’ by Connaught Brown. The title appears well deserved, as her voice continues to resonate in contemporary art today.
Claisse has previously participated in group exhibitions at the Hanover Gallery, Redfern, and the Royal Academy, but this solo show is set to be one of the most exciting gallery exhibitions this Autumn.
