Why we're underwhelmed by the Victoria Beckham x Target collaboration
Spice Girl-turned fashion icon Victoria Beckham’s hugely anticipated collaboration with Target goes on sale on the 9th of April, boasting over two hundred pieces for both women and children. UK buyers will be able to order the collection online.
While we're hesitant to knock Victoria in her endeavour to bring VICTORIA BECKHAM to the high street, we aren’t enthused by the collection. There is a notable lack of the hard-edged masculinity that has defined Posh's 21st century style. Where is the unapologetic langour of her low-slung, oversized trousers? Not here.
What we have instead is an onslaught of flowery, girlish, and forcefully garish pieces. We're all for femininity, but styles reminscent of the Victoria we know and love are few and far-between.
With that being said, there are a number of hidden gems within the collaboration, and we've rounded up our favourite pieces.
Fuschia is having an extended moment. Samantha Jones wore a similar Emanuel Ungaro number in Sex and the City, and we can still get behind this look.
