The greatest glasshouse in the world reopens
After years of the largest restoration project in Kew's history, the spectacular Temperate House opens its doors revealing 10,000 plants inside an architectural wonder. Here are a few things we think you should know before going.

When you enter the glasshouse, you embark on a round the world adventure. You may find yourself in South Africa, where you will see the cycad Encephalartos woodii, the famous ‘loneliest tree in the world’. Its jurassic appearance would be a useful armour against the nibbles of prehistoric predators, but now only males exist and the quest for a female has been unsuccessful.
