London's best winter rooftop bars and restaurants
As the nights are drawing in, who says roof-top dining is only for summer? Whilst perennial favourites switch to winter with style – exuberant blankets and cosy heaters – many are launching new residencies from the ultra ethical to authentically Moroccan and Italian
Selfridge’s rooftop reinvents itself yet again with an Italian trattoria restaurant, Il Tetto, translating unsurprisingly as 'the roof'. The exciting news is that the chef, Luca Terraneo is from L’Anima (where he worked with one of our favourite chefs Francesca Mazzei before he moved to Sartoria).
So we can expect classic yet contemporary Italian food, robust yet with high finesse. There’s also a wood-fired oven for pizza and grills, almost de rigeur now. Shop until you drop before heading up for a dolce vita feast.
