The best creative workshops London has to offer
Itching to mould some clay or design your own print? There are plenty of enticing creative workshops to throw yourself into in London. Whether you fancy yourself a budding candlemaker, a moonlighting potter or a side-hustling calligrapher, here are some of the best workshops and evening classes London has to offer.
Once you’ve got that hand-crafted bowl for your morning oats, why not make your very own spoon to go with it? Learn how to carve a spoon from reclaimed timber with craft darlings Grain & Knot. You’ll be provided with all equipment and at the end of the two and a half hour class you’ll get to take away your own spoon, along with homemade wood balm to keep it looking its best.
Grain & Knot founder Sophie Sellu is currently taking a break from her usual classes to focus on her pop-up shop, which is open from 9 – 21 April in Westbourne Grove. As well as a chance to browse the wares of independent craftsmen (and women), the pop-up is hosting a series of utensil-making workshops, showing budding carvers how it's done.
