Four plays to book now at The Old Vic

Political drama, abusdist classics, a new musical and festive favourite: book now for a stellar new season at The Old Vic.
Booking is open from noon on Thursday 9 May.
There's also a revival of Lungs, starring The Crown's Claire Foy and Matt Smith. But run dates and booking information is still to be confirmed, so watch this space.

A Very Expensive Poison

Since the runaway success of Enron in 2009, playwright Lucy Prebble has developed a reputation for making complex moral, financial and political issues feel inviting and thrillingly theatrical.

Now she brings subterfuge to The Old Vic with a world premiere inspired by assassination of Alexander Litvinenko.

Endgame

Daniel Radcliffe returns to The Old Vic to star alongside seasoned thespian Alan Cumming in a darkly comic Samuel Beckett double bill.

Local Hero

Local Hero is a large-scale new musical created in co-production with Royal Lyceum Theatre Edinburgh. Based on the hit 1983 film, it tells the story of a Texan oil baron who finds the deal of lifetime in Scotland. But is the promise of riches enough to persuade the locals to sacrifice their home town? Dire Straits singer/songwriter Mark Knopfler is writing the songs that will transform the story into a fully-fledged musical.
