METIS Theatre director Zoë Svendsen leads this multi-media project, which comes to The Pit at The Barbican as part of 2018's The Art of Change season. After the provocative, bold 'game theatre' portrayal of the textiles industry in 2015's World Factory (Young Vic), we look forward to seeing how else METIS will interrogate politics and environmental issues.
We Know Not What We May Be begins with a short talk from an inspirational speaker, before audiences are taken into the installation. There a host of experts - spanning economics, architecture, environmentalism and social sciences - will initiate and lead conversations. These unscripted discussions will challenge our preconceptions and reveal the ways in which all individuals can take a role in changing the world. Prepare for an engaging and enlightening exploration of vital contemporary issues.
