Award-winning theatre company Iris Theatre has launched a new virtual experience just in time for Christmas. Swapping their usual stomping ground of St. Paul’s Church in Covent Garden (the beloved the Actors’ Church) for the online sphere, the company presents The Snow Queen: an online, interactive storytelling adventure.
The Snow Queen forms part of the company’s ongoing Winter Season, and takes the form of a live performance streamed over Zoom to audiences in homes far and wide.
Based on Hans Christian Anderson’s classic fairy tale of the same name, this fresh adaptation of The Snow Queen adds in a narrator, a storyteller called Holly, who needs all the help she can get from young audience members to tell the frosty tale.
Join Holly on a magical, snow-filled adventure through one of the best-loved fairy tales of all time, in a production that fuses live performance with 3D animation. Together with other families taking part from home, your little ones will get to interact with the cast and join in festive sing-alongs as the story unfolds.
Iris Theatre is known for its innovative, site-specific theatre experiences, and we expect the company’s first foray into the world of virtual entertainment to be no less enchanting.
