The encounter between these black British men and the landscape, which contains its own histories of British colonial, industrial and rural experience that are not necessarily hospitable to them, makes for a fraught premise.
The play is dedicated to a group of the same name, which undertakes similar expeditions. It's staged as part of Revolution Mix, a writing project that aims to enrich the canon of British theatre with untold British stories.
