Steinem has travelled extensively, and addressed injustices across the world from Brazil to India. It is from this itinerancy that her recent book My Life on the Road, was born. Her voyages began early; her father was a travelling salesman who would often lead the family across America. The memoir recounts these early trips, as well as Steinem's later campaigns for social justice. Hers an extraordinary life which he has seen her listen to, meet with, speak alongside, and happen upon some of the most important political figures of the twentieth century.
She is joined on stage by actress Emma Watson. While she's most famous for playing Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter series, in recent years, Watson's become an important voice for feminism. She's currently a Global Goodwill Ambassador for UN WOMEN, working internationally to further the cause of women's rights.
It's sure to be a fascinating, cross-generational discussion.
