This October saw the release of Spectacles: a chronicle of Perkins’ journey so far. Roundly praised for its humour and humanity, it handles the light-hearted and the serious with candour and dexterity. The author does not shy away from painful subject matter and, amongst other things, the memoir deals with the difficulties of infertility.
On November 22, she discusses Spectacles with fellow comedian Dawn French at the Royal Festival Hall. Quick-witted and warm-hearted, Perkins is a born conversationalist and a gifted speaker.
The price of the ticket includes a copy of the book itself. Book now to avoid missing out.
