Generous staff, suppliers and hosts have joined hands to create a dazzling candlelit supper at minimal cost, with all proceeds going directly towards Action Against Hunger's charitable work in Syria.
Tickets cost £45 per person and include a cocktail and a four course meal prepared by chef Ellen Parr with a menu that aims to celebrate Syrian cuisine in all its glory. Served by candlelight, diners will begin the feast with za'atar flat breads, served with traditional aubergine and yogurt dip, walnut muhammara and spiced courgette.
The second course on the Syrian menu will consist of pomegranate served with fennel, mint, crisp bread and cauliflower fattoush. Next up comes an enticing sounding slow braised lamb shank accompanied by red bulgar plaif, strained yogurt and beewaz salad, and finally to round off the meal come desserts of semolina and yogurt cake, rose rice pudding and grilled peaches with pistachio.
This pop-up venue will also sport a bar, with all profits going to the cause, as well as a raffle followed by some after dinner music. Enjoy the Syria's rich cuisine whilst raising money for a very worthy cause.
The Candelit Supper will held on the evenings of 28 and 29 October. Click here to book tickets.
