Unless you are an entomologist, you've probably never really considered the sex lives of insects. Until now. On 9 February at the Southbank Centre, Actress Isabella Rossellini and screenwriter Jean-Claude Carrière perform a weird and wonderful show about the bizarrest of reproductive rituals, entitled Green Porno: Un Bestiaire d'Amour .
Rossellini is best-known for her role as the seductive chanteuse in David Lynch's Blue Velvet, but here she takes to the stage with Carrière to explore the weird and often savage sexual appetites of creepy crawlies. Expect wild orgies, strange seductions, fierce fights, impressive acrobatics, pregnant males and even offspring eaten alive!
This gripping show is sure to shock as the extraordinary diversity and unpredictability of nature is revealed...
