Kidzania Lates, London
If you haven't heard of Kidzania chances are you don't spend much time with pre-teens. It's essentially a real life verison of The Sims, where children play at being a grown up and embark upon a chosen careers. Sounds like hard work, but little people of London are obsessed and it's fast become THE birthday party destination of choice for discerning youngsters. All the fun is strictly off limits for those of legal drinking age.
But now in Kidzania Lates, actual grown ups get the chance to play at being grown up, but without all the faff and admin. Ever regret abandoning that juvenile dream of being Fireman Sam? Well you can 'retrain' as a firefighter. Or maybe a hairdresser or pilot? Hard work is rewarded with the in-house currency 'Kidzos', with which you can buy more opportunities (money does indeed make the world go around it seems).
The next Kidzania adults' event is a Christmas special, so make sure you're all good girls and boys.
The £30 ticket includes a welcome drink and the bar is open all night -- not that we recommend drinking on the job!
