Designed by Creative Director Alice Stone, the brand was named after the Stone's beloved grandparents. With her team, she uses hand-painting to customise digitally-printed fabrics. With these she crafts floaty shirts, skirts, dresses and scarves. The pieces give a dainty nod to vintage fashion but still feel remarkably modern.
Lily and Lionel: shop clothing from the new season at the Pop up.
You'll find the month-long pop up premises on Ledbury Road in Notting Hill, where they'll be in good company; a few doors down from A.P.C. and Aimé and opposite Joseph.
This isn't straight vintage. Late last year, the brand's starry Celeste print and Luna dress were similar to Dior's own astronomically-inspired designs, but the new season is looking Bohemian. For Spring 2018, Lily and Lionel has draw on vintage influences, such as traditional English interiors and the Surrealists.
Catch them in their standalone store in mid-February. Until then, you can find the brand at Liberty, Fortnum & Mason and Anthropologie.
