What do you get when you combine one of 2017's biggest films with the UK's largest independent online fashion retailer? ASOS X Star Wars, that's what. It's a fashion collaboration that's for diehard fashionisitas as well as diehard fans.

The collaboration, for both men and women, is already availabe to buy online and prices start at £18. It features leisurewear: hoodies and trackies with galactic languages (is it Aurebesh, Sith or Droid?) written on the sleeves. But the real treasures are in the women's section, where there are seven items, from leggings to dresses. There are space-aged scuba material mini-dresses, hanky hemmed abstract dresses and a sublime, draped moody purple number that will have the galaxy falling at your feet.

2017 is the year of interstellar style in the high fashion world. ASOS isn't the first brand this year to look to the universe for inspiration. Dior's star-spangled astrology dresses (and M&S's high street rip-off), Gucci's AW17 alien fashion campaign and Saint Laurent's out-of-this-world dazzling silver partywear have all had us reaching for the stars for outfit inspiration in 2017.
