From fishermen's overalls to jazzed up wellington boots, the start of 2021 will see a sartorial celebration of the great outdoors, and a collaborative collection from this outerwear giant and luxury fashion house arrives just in time. The North Face x Gucci collab was recently revealed after shed-loads of anticipation, and it's just as striking and colourful as we expected. With everything from goose-down puffers to logo-clad accessories and walking boots, expect to see this eye-catching alliance in London's most fashionable parks.

Elle Fanning stars as Catherine the Great alongside Nicholas Hoult (who plays her narcissistic husband Peter), in this lavish new series that chronicles her rise to power in 18th century Russia. A dark, satirical and impeccably stylish period drama infused with all the glamour of Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette with all the grit of Yorgos Lanthimos's The Favourite.

... Patti Smith's 15 minute gig
The epoch-defining punk legend Patti Smith will perform a 15 minute gig along with a new poem this month, to celebrate the end of 2020 and to pay tribute to the NHS. Originally, the performance was set to be screened on a giant electronic billboard in Piccadilly, but is now available to stream online after advice from the Metropolitan police in light of COVID restrictions.

We have always been fascinated by the curiosities of the 17th century manor house Aynhoe Park - with it's colourful crowds of weird and wonderful taxidermies and hallowed halls of vintage objects. Now, a three-day auction will see many of these pieces auctioned off, set to draw world-wide interest.
