Believe it or not, Christmas isn't actually over. Christmas is twelve days of magic that start, not end, on the 25th December. And, with a few days left to go the Geffrye Museum in East London (a great museum for children in London) is celebrating the end of festivities on the Twelfth Night of Christmas.
Families join the museum's staff in wrapping up warm, burning the holly and ivy and singing the last of the Christmas carols. Listen to Epiphany stories and parents finish off the mulled wine for the year alongside a plate of Twelfth Night cake.
If you haven't had enough of Christmas this year and want to enjoy the last delicious drops of Christmas left in the bottle before it is put away to gather dust for another year, this is the family event for you. It's also a chance to wander round the beautiful Geffrye Museum, with it's series of period rooms reflecting the past 400 years of changes in society and behaviour, style, fashion and taste, from 17th century oak furniture to 20th Century modernity.
Take the family for an evening of free Christmassy fun whilst you still can.
Suitable for all ages
