Stuck for ideas of what to do with your little ones during the upcoming half term? The National Gallery answers your prayers with free, hands-on art workshops for families to fill the winter days with creative sculpture making.
Inside Out Sculpture Making, Room 31, Robin-Lee Hall:
From Monday to Thursday of February half term, the National Gallery will be holding a free creative drop-in workshop for kids accompanied by an adult or guardian.
Drawing inspiration for the current work on the Fourth Plinth in Trafalgar Square, Hans Haacke's 'Gift Horse', little ones are invited to create their own small-scale sculptures, inspired by the Gallery's marvellous horses.
Places for the workshop are not limited, however guests may be required during busy periods, so arriving early may be advisable.
The Gallery also has plenty more on offer for families this holiday, including special themed tours and storytelling.
Suitable for ages 2+
