Settle down next to granddad’s hearth for a treasure trove of truly wonderful puppet-told stories. This cleverly conceived and performed show will enthral and astound the whole family.
Fireside Tales with Granddad is at Albany Theatre for two special half term dates this February, and it’s one of our most delightful picks. It features some of the most beautifully crafted puppets you’ll see in children’s theatre, performing a truly enchanting hour of storytelling and shadowplay.
The quality and abundance of exquisite props in this show is one thing, but the extraordinary feats of magic the Pickled Image company’s puppeteers are able to perform with them is quite another. When the show promises enthrallment for ages 4 - 104 it’s not lying. You’ll be as captivated by these tales of beautiful mermaids, trolls and goblins, and hungry sharks as we were.
Shows are at 1 and 3pm on Thursday 20 and Friday 21 February.
