Paines Plough, one of the UK’s foremost new writing companies, is bringing a trio of brand new plays to the Southbank, and in a rather innovative style. Their ‘Roundabout’ is a truly mobile theatre space; it can pack up into the back of a lorry, and will be touring the country with a stop in London over the summer at the Southbank Centre’s annual Festival of Love.

Paines Plough Roundabout season, 2015
We’re most excited about Our Teacher’s A Troll, a new family comedy (ages 7+) from Dennis Kelly, the writer behind Matilda the Musical. If you’re looking for hard-hitting drama, Lungs by Duncan Macmillan tackles how having a child meshes with responsibility for our environment. The final play in the trio, Alexandra Wood's The Initiate, tells the gripping story of a Somali taxi-driver from East London who tries to rescue a British couple from pirates in his homeland.
We recommend you book now before the Roundabout packs up and heads off elsewhere.
