We love the museum of childhood’s Small Stories Exhibition, where a dozen tiny houses built over the last three centuries have opened their doors and welcomed in visitors. A feast of detail, history and storytelling, this exhibition has delighted both children and older visitors.
Now you can go further into the world of the miniature - hunt for little people, create tiny tea-time treats and mini rooms and try on costumes that make you small! Children can also try their hands at making miniature books with craftspeople from the London Centre for Book Arts, creating wallpaper with print-maker Ling Chui and carving a piece of miniature bespoke furniture with 3D artist Ling Chui.
To celebrate Chinese New Year, there will also be one-off sessions on February 19 where children will make Chinese shadow puppets and the Yellow Earth Theatre Company will retell the story of the New Year Monster!
