If you're looking for things to do in London with children that are a bit different, this unique interactive show from londonprintstudio in London's Notting Hill creates a magical environment for children, featuring illustrations and cut outs from the latest children's books. The exhibition follows an art trail where children can read, draw, and tell stories.
There will also be an opening party on the 13th of November, from 6.30-8.30pm, so go and catch a first glimpse of these beautiful creations.
The Enchanted Page is an installation for children, in a specially constructed environment featuring enchanting images and characters.
The exhibition was conceived of and designed by the award-winning children’s book illustrator Frann Preston-Gannon and John Phillips at londonprintstudio, and is inspired by beautiful illustrations from 15 'younger generation' artists. It features work by leading children’s book illustrators, including Alex Barrow, Michael Bartalos, Floyd Cooper, Phillipe Coudray, Benji Davies, Yasmeen Ishmail, Talleen Hacikyan, Ohara Hale, Emily Hughes, Maggie Li, Julie Morstad, Ben Newman, Rachel Ortas and Priva Sundram.
The show is suitable for all children up to the age of 11, or for anyone who's interested in contemporary illustration. Artist’s talks, guided tours and workshops are available for children and young people during the exhibition.
Before Christmas, the workshops will be focused on children under 11, and, in January, they will focus upon young illustrators and storytellers aged between 11 and 18. We recommend heading down to Notting Hill this month and checking out these imaginative works of art.
