The former children's Laureate and author of classics Gorilla and Willy the Wimp discusses his popular children's picture books, with an interactive game to amuse the little ones.
It's been 30 years since Anthony Browne's Gorilla and Willy the Wimp were first published, winning the prestigious Kate Greenaway award. The charming picture books are now household names. Willy the Wimp tells the heart-warming tale of the weedy Willy, who decides to beat the bullies' taunts by bulking up and becoming a body-builder. If your children are already fans of this and Anthony's other stories they will love the chance to learn more about their favourite characters and if not this is a lovely opportunity to introduce them to some new bedtime reading.
And, as well as discussing his books, Anthony will also give the children a chance to get involved, with an interactive shapes game.
This mini literary salon is especially tailored to little ones. It's ideal for ages five and up.
