Which is why a Santa's grotto with a twist – and a super-cool cultural experience that parents will want to take part in as much as the kiddos – is very welcome during the festive season.
Naturally, we're talking about Father Christmas arriving in a fully furnished grotto bursting with gifts hot off the sleigh at the Royal Albert Hall.
In this immersive experience, families will enjoy an exclusive tour around the 19th-century Hall and have the chance to interact with a range of North Pole characters along the way. Kids will learn about Christmas, the characters, the RAH – and even pick up some exciting secrets from the elves – before meeting the big man himself.

This Santa's grotto experience includes a mix of storytelling, puppetry and live music, and lasts an hour. Plus, children not only get to meet Father Christmas one-to-one, but they'll also leave with their very own stuffed toy.
We reckon this experience is as good for adults as it is for kids. First off, adults go free. Second, who doesn't want a tour around one of the UK's most hallowed cultural halls?
The experience is designed for kids aged three years and up and you'll be able to take your own pictures as well as purchasing a photo souvenir with Father Christmas from the event. Babies under two go free – they'll need a ticket to receive a special gift from Santa.
