Rethink gender stereotypes, embrace trailblazing hedonism and witness the worlds of fashion and art collide. This is Rebels, the fourth installment of the Veuve Clicquot Widow Series; London's annual immersive event that pays homage to the revolutionary founder of the House, Madame Clicquot. Famously widowed in 1805 at the tender age of 27, Madame Clicquot went on to single-handedly transform the champagne industry. Battling against gender sterotypes and the traditional constraints of high society, Madame Clicquot succeded in building one of the most famous champagne houses in the world.
Expect collaborations from photographic and filmmaking duo Warren Du Preez & Nick Thornton Jones, installation artists Rebecca Louise Law and Anna Burns, as well as electronic musician James Lavelle and Joe Goddard of Hot Chip. And that's just the start: more acts will be announced soon.
With Veuve, great things happen. This decadent nighttime celebration of pioneering creativity, innovation and hedonism intends to bring out the rebellious spirit in us all. So, will you be part of the rebellion?
The website is now live – the price for the ticket will be £22 + booking fees and that includes a glass of Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label.
