Join the Shelby family in the post-WW1 backstreets of the city, where you'll be led between famous sites including The Garrison pub, the Small Heath betting shop, Tommy's office and the bakery on Regent’s Canal. Camden's The Vanguard Theatre has been taken over by the production team to create the experience, which features live actors recreating memorable moments from the show. Further details of the plot have been kept hush-hush to ensure it remains a surprise for visiting parties.
Tom Maller directs the production, with Rebecca Brower in charge of design. The pair previously worked together on London's immersive Doctor Who: Time Fracture experience as well as Secret Cinema's Arcane.
The show is suitable for audience members aged 14+ (though under-18s must be accompanied by an adult) and is running until February 2023. Fancy dress is not compulsory but strongly encouraged. So don a newsboy cap and some braces, and remember to keep looking over your shoulder at all times. Finally, remember: 'For those who make the rules, there are no rules'.
