Friends Festive, Old Truman Brewery Shoreditch

So no one told you life was gonna be this way... Because there can never be enough of Friends, the extremely popular Friendsfest is returning for a special Christmas event all in the name of spreading joy this holiday season. Instead of binge-watching all the Christmas episodes this winter, try living them.

The original Friendsfest, created by Comedy Central, is the essential event for any and all Friends obsessives who spend their nights watching one, or ten, episodes. New activities are added each year including set visits and original memorabilia, and this summer, Friendsfest went on tour around the UK. Friendsfest is stepping up their game once more with a holiday edition, in collaboration with Luna Cinema.

At this indoor event hosted at the Old Truman Brewery, attendees will be able to step into the show’s most recognisable sets including Central Perk and Monica’s apartment, all dressed up with festive decorations for some festive photo-ops.

There are also some new additions to Friendsfest’s attractions including the chance to ring the bell outside the mall, show off your best moves at the New Year’s Disco and sing a rendition of Phoebe’s Christmas song at Central Perk (‘Monica, Monica, have a Happy Hanukkah’).

Under the (probably artificial) snow, there will also be ample opportunity to recreate the opening titles with a festive twist. And who can forget Ross’s Holiday Armadillo? Forget Santa, at Friends Festive you can visit the Holiday Armadillo’s grotto.

Friends Festive promises a jolly alternative to the usual Christmas markets, and is set to please all Friends fans, diehard and casual. (But do casual Friends fans actually exist?)
