This year, Frahm is curating The Barbican Centre's Marathon weekend 'Possibly Colliding.' Speaking to BBC Radio 6 music, he announced his intention to 'surprise people in the best possible way,' and with such an eclectic line-up, he's already half way there. As well as a special performance from Frahm and guests, there's music from the likes of contemporary organ master Anna Von Hausswolff, percussive pioneers Wildbirds & Peacedrums, the venerable Penguin Cafe Orchestra, and plenty more besides.
There'll also be an installation courtesy of digitial craft studio FELD, and a series of film screenings. We're particularly excited about 'Victoria,' Sebastien Schipper's chilling one-take feature set over a night in Berlin, dramatically scored by none other than Frahm himself.
