Although it’s been over a decade since they disbanded, there still ain’t no party quite like an S Club party. From their 1999 smash ‘Bring It All Back’, the seven-piece dominated both charts and TV screens with a relentless onslaught of pure pop. The hits came thick and fast, burrowing themselves into the heads and hearts of a whole generation. But then, after a mere five years of reaching for the stars, they came crashing back to earth.
The subsequent decade saw the members’ fortunes take wildly divergent paths, from successful careers on the West End stage to Celebrity Big Brother controversies. Most recently, a trio of members reunited as S Club 3, touring pubs and clubs before building up to larger gigs. Now, following on from an appearance on BBC’s Children in Need, the whole line-up has reformed for a 2015 arena tour, which will stop off at the 02 Arena on the 16th May. If you retain even the slightest dab of nostalgia for the band, this is not to be missed.
