The Barbican presents the Walthamstow Garden Party, full of music, workshops and food - all for free
On Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th July, a free music and food festival will be taking place in Walthamstow’s beautiful Lloyd Park, E17. Expect an array of activities and entertainment to be enjoyed by the whole family for a relaxing and cultural weekend.
Programmed by the Barbican, the Walthamstow Garden Party has an extremely exciting line-up confirmed across its two stages, kicking off with the award-winning, soul legend Bobby Womack on Saturday, and Tiken Jah Fakoly on Sunday.
A range of music, dance and theatre workshops are also confirmed, we recommend you catch The Fairly Famous Family for surprising and entertaining pop-up performances. Make sure to take part in one of the many art and design workshops, get creative with woodwork and knitting in the Useful & Beautiful Craft Marquee. All of this will be enjoyed with a tasty selection of food from the very best street food traders organised by Real Food Festivals to keep your appetite more than satisfied for the entire weekend.
An absolute must on the ‘to-do list’ whilst there is to take advantage of the free tours and activities at the William Morris Gallery – the only place in Britain dedicated to the leader of arts and crafts!
With so much to do for free – this is an event that should not be missed! To really take advantage of it we recommend that you soak it all up and enjoy it on both days.
