For £3 a cup or £5 a pot, Teatulia offers ginger, jasmine and lemongrass teas, as well as tulsi, oolong and the mysteriously named ‘Bengal Builder’s’. There’s also a range of tea-inspired cocktails and mocktails, like the green tea ginger cooler or the chai hot-butter rum.
Inside the bar, a vinyl player and ‘living library’ of books offer relaxing entertainment while you sip. Each month a new celebrity personally curates the bookshelf – an initiative which Tilda Swinton lead the way for back when the shop-cum-bar opened in October 2018.
The shop is the first in London to sell entirely single-origin tea, meaning it is guaranteed to be 100% organic. Teatulia’s teas come all the way from the district of Teatulia in Bangladesh – known as 'the Dream City' – which is located between other tea hot spots Assam and Darjeeling. Here's hoping the bar proves as dreamy as its namesake.
