Dry January: where to enjoy non-alcoholic drinks in London
Whether you're cutting down after an excessive party season or fully committing to Dry January 2023, sobriety doesn't have to be dull. Wean yourself off the wine, vanquish the vodka and banish the beer this January with the most delicious and inventive mocktails.
It's all about juxtapositions at Heads and Tails, Will Partridge (Wax Jambu and Kilburn Ironworks) and Chris Dennis's (Brixton’s gone-but-not-forgotten Sovereign Loss and Disrepute) West Hampstead bar. The venue is split over two levels, with ground-floor bar Heads flooded with natural light and serving light, refreshing concoctions. Basement bar Tails, meanwhile, is dark and moody – fitting for its menu of short, heady drinks. Our advice? Stay up top if you're abstaining. The bar pays almost as much attention to its alcohol-free tipples as its regular cocktails, serving something to please all palates.
