Brixton Night Market, Windrush Square

Brixton’s markets offer everything from groceries, to clothes, to world foods in a range of cafes and restaurants.  The markets have rapidly gained a name for themselves across London, rivalling the likes of Camden Market and Portobello Market. But many traders are finding it hard to get a pitch in these and other markets across the city, which is where Brixton Night Market 2014 comes in.
Giving you the chance to taste an array of foods from stalls you might not have heard of before, the market is a community project to support local traders. 
Food comes from all corners of the globe—you can try everything from pizzas, good old American chow and Indian street food to sweet treats like brownies. You could even try out some food from London’s only Seychelles street food pop up,Vinn Goute.
Previous traders have included the now well-established South African Bunny Chow, the purveyors of many a tasty stew in a loaf, and Bill or Beak, guardian of one of the best duck burgers in London.

And there’s more than just food. Street entertainment is put on too making for a great night out in London this weekend.
The aim is to keep running the market for as long as they have interest from traders and hungry customers, we don’t think they’re going to have much of a problem with that one!
