Carousel restaurant, Marylebone
A sizeable, flexible and stylishly sparse three-floor venue, the Carousel restaurant, Marylebone is the latest venture from the award-winning Shuttlecock Inc., the team of four cousins dedicated to unforgettable parties, pop-ups and dining experiences.
When they're not hosting parties and exhibitions, the Carousel kitchen plays constant host to a stream of the country's most exciting up-and-coming chefs, as well as visiting talent from around the world (Tom Ryalls and Sebastian Mazzola came through the doors most recently).
Norse restaurant, London
Up next, from Tuesday March 10th, is Murray Wilson, head chef at Harrogate's Norse, London restaurant with a simple, modern Scandi feel and a growing reputation for quality and service. A finalist in 2008's first ever Masterchef: The Professionals, Murray is bringing to Carousel's kitchens his Nordic-influenced passions for curing, pickling and fermenting, for an all-too-short series of nightly set menus (£37), and a handful of lunch dates that look an absolute bargain at £11. Norse restaurant London has been doing increasingly well so this may be a short-lived opportunity to grab their Scandi treats before they head off to bigger places. If you're wondering where to find the best Scandinanivan food in London, we'd probably suggest putting your head through Carousel's door in the coming weeks.
Book below through Carousel's website – Friday night is already sold out, and other dates are likely to go the same way, so don't delay.
