The CEO of La Verrière and curator of Chêne Bleu wines, Nicole Rolet, will be hosting an exclusive five course dinner along with creative wine & food pairings, including award-winning Rose, Aliot, Heloise and Abelard cuvees – the latter being two new vintages and named after the powerful Medieval lovers, making them the ideal wines for a Valentine themed dinner.
The wines will be supplied by Justerini & Brooks, and are naturally low in sulphites so aren't likely to cause a headache the next morning.
Chêne Bleu is a relatively new family-owned, single-estate wine which has received a number of awards and been critically praised.
This event will be a great opportunity to learn about fine wine and natural winemaking, as well as 'art, entrepreneurship & risk taking, work-life balance, innovation in mature businesses and a host of other topics.'
The five course menu will include a starter of salmon confit, with clam & miso broth and hijiki seaweed, followed by the fish course of crispy bass, pea puree, and chorizo oil. Following this they'll be serving up a delectable sounding ballotine of guinea fowl & wild mushroom, pancetta lentils with madeira cream sauce. The main course features aromatic duck with glazed salsify puree, confit fennel, kale crisps and cinnamon jus. And, to finish off is a cheese board offering fig, hazelnuts and seeded crackers.
The intimate venue of all-women's members' club (though it makes an exception on Wednesday) Grace Belgravia, is the ideal setting for this event.
