A Masterchef pop-up kitchen graces the Blue Fin Building restaurant this September, featuring previous contestants'- including 2014 winner Ping Coombes - recipes.
Masterchef finalists and winners from the past few years will be displaying their sumptuous culinary skills at a special pop-up restaurant in Southwark this September.
From 2 September to 5 October the stylish Blue Fin building will see teams of three chefs from the television programme heading up the kitchen and applying their verve for artisan cuisine to three meals each day: lunch, a sharing supper and a tasting menu. On Sundays a fourth sitting of a special Masterchef brunch is also available.
The original run for the pop-up was scheduled to be just four weeks, but after incredible demand the residency has been extended by a further week.
Most recent Masterchef winner Ping Coombes will be in the kitchen for two weeks at the stylish Southwark venue.
The Malaysia-born Masterchef champion brought the flavours of her homeland to her competitive dishes- and wowed the judges in the final with her subtle oriental flavours.
Her winning meal featured Wanton soup starter with pork and crab dumplings, a main course of fragrant Malaysain coconut rice with lemongrass prawns and turmeric chicken called Nasi Lemak, and a dessert of coconut and vanilla pannacotta.
The judges in the competition especially praised Ping’s immaculate presentation and attention to detail.
Other Masterchef stars featuring in the kitchen include 2011 winner Tim Anderson and 2013 winner Natalie Coleman.
Regardless of the cooking team, every course is prepared by the finest amateur chefs in the UK, so expect a stunning and unique dining experience this September.
