Regent's Park is once again hosting Taste of London, a feast for foodies, this June.
From the 18th - 22nd of June 2014, in the stunning surroundings of one of London’s most beautiful spaces, Taste of London returns for 8 sessions over 5 days in Regent’s Park.
This outdoor food festival started in our great capital 10 years ago. A city that not so long ago wasn’t famed for its food now leads and others follow, with 20 other cities around the world hosting their own ‘Taste’ festivals.
Foodie Festival
Dubbed by some as a ‘Gastronomic Glastonbury’ (don’t be put off by the comparison to a muddy musical festival), this is for the refined foodie a sustenance kingdom, if you will.
Taste is a platform for rising stars in the culinary world as well as a chance to revisit the tried, tested and well-cooked ones.
Who's your favourite chef?
Choosing a favourite chef is as subjective and controversial as declaring a preference of North over South London so I won't profess to be able to predict yours, nor would I want to, but this year you can find the heady mix of Michel Roux Jnr, Mark Sergeant and Jason Atherton being bitten at the heels by the new kids on the chopping block, Andre Garrett, Nina Parker, Manuel Oliveri and many more.
World cuisine & classes...
A 4 hour session is just long enough to enjoy a taste of Korea or Thailand, see top chefs perform in the cooks’ skills theatre, take part in a master class and visit over 200 different exhibitors displaying some of the finest food and drink in the UK.
40 of London’s hottest restaurants set up shop at Taste, giving you the chance to sample the cooking of the establishments you’ve been meaning to go to or trying to get in to for months, such as Meat Liquor, Sushi Samba and Tamarind.
