For the fourth year, RED Market has transformed a car park into an open-air summer hangout.
The car park behind RED Gallery has been a hive of activity in recent weeks, as this year’s RED Market gets ready to open its doors to the public on 5 June.
What's new this year?
After last year’s success, the pop-up hangout has taken things up a notch, because as well as their central dining court and bar area, they’re also building a beach and a tiered sunshine deck.
And, although we love their optimism in the face of all the rain, we’re happy to say that there is a covered area with canopy tents and deck chairs to chill out without braving the elements.
Drinks will be served...
Three bars will be serving a choice of cocktails—the passion fruit mojito and scotch and ginger sound like the ones to try—as well as the obligatory summer drinks of Pimms and Sol beer.
On the food front, there are Broadway Market favourites Butchies’ buttermilk chicken burgers, plus cherrywood-smoked pulled pork from Bare Bones Cue, Love Smile Jerk’s home-cooked treats and fresh Deshi Roti from Tayyabs.
Keep in mind...
There’s also a special residency from Dalston’s late-night pizza aficionados Voodoo Ray’s during July, which will see them launch a brand new street food trailer.
If you can gather a group of 20 or more, you can get table service, but we prefer the idea of setting out into the hubbub to perch on any available space to enjoy this urban beach and the people-watching that comes as part of the Shoreditch package.
