Expect a heady mix of guest speakers to pop up at events at some of London's best loved bars.
In its fourth year, London Wine Week is now a major event on the calendar. Details of this year's offerings are still largely under wraps, but a full line-up will be released online in April. Over the past three years, hundreds of acclaimed restaurants have joined in Wine Week. Participating venues serve a £5 glass of superior wine, distinguished and affordable, and punters can dot-to-dot across the capital to sample highlighted labels.
Wine tours are also on offer, marked out by area – allowing Soho, Shoreditch, London Bridge or Marylebone to be explored with the grape in mind.
Topping it all, a series of masterclasses and guest speakers will appear at selected restaurants and bars, and this year will see the return of Wine Week's Devonshire Square pop-up, between Spitalfields Market and Liverpool Street Station – very much the hub of the entire week. The pop-up is accessible to Wine Week guests only, who have access to a sublime mix of installations promoting Old and New World wines – last year guests could also lose themselves in an immersive Provençal beach bar and English sparkling wine courtyard.
