The stills, theatrically placed behind glass windows behind the cocktail bar, produce some of London's best independent spirits, including vodkas, whiskeys, rums and gins. In a gorgeous adapted Victorian building with high ceilings, the state-of-the-art traditional distillery stakes a claim to truly understanding the vast heritage of the range of drinks it creates, all in keeping with London's centuries-old tradition of producing fine spirits, particularly gins.
Bringing spirit production back to London after a lapse of almost a century, East London Liquor Company is inviting Culture Whisper members to experience the copper stills up close, and understand more about the art of spirit production, before sitting down to a tasting session in the Maturation Room to discuss the effects of barrel-ageing on flavour, aroma and colour. The tasting will focus on whichever gin the ELLC are producing on the day of the tour, as well as demerara rum.
Eight Premium Members are invited, and plus-ones are welcome. Please note the unusual start time of the event, at 2pm. The week of our tour, ELLC will be celebrating Negroni Week, highlighting its Premium Batch No.2 Gin.
